Yellow fever occurs in the tropical parts of South America and sub-Saharan and West Africa. Nearly all the related countries are affected and require a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate to enter when travelling.
The symptoms of Yellow Fever include fever, muscle pain, headaches, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite and shivers. Most patients improve after a 3 or 4 day period but there is the possibility of patients developing further serious illness.
